TASER Self Defense Instructor Certification Extensions

Axon’s mission is to deliver the best, most up to date training for TASER energy weapons. Axon Training is currently revamping the TASER Self Defense curriculum and content.  TASER Self Defense Instructor Certification courses will be unavailable in the near term. Limited courses will be available between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. To ensure uninterrupted delivery of TASER Self Defense courses by currently certified instructors, Axon Training is implementing the following change:

TASER Self-Defense Instructor Course 

Interested in becoming a TASER Self-Defense Instructor? Our TASER Self-Defense Instructor Course provides training and certification for self-defense professionals to teach TASER approved civilian courses. Get hands-on weapons training from subject matter experts who bring decades of experience instructing with TASER civilian products.  Students will also learn about different tactical scenarios where TASER devices have saved lives.  For certification, a student must attend and pass the TASER Self-Defense Instructor Course.
The TASER Self-Defense team has been working hard to re-imagine and re-design the TASER Self-Defense Instructor Certification Program to ensure we are offering the best training possible for our partners and customers. As a result, training for new instructors has been paused until our new and improved courses are available.Any current instructors seeking re-certification only, please see below for upcoming course dates:

    Requirements to Attend TASER Self-Defense Instructor Course

    This course requires you to be (1) of the following:  

    • Certified Law Enforcement TASER instructor
    • Prior/current relevant Military Instructor
    • USCCA Instructor Certification
    • NRA Training Certification
    • Krav Maga and other relevant Martial arts instructor
    • NRA Instructor w/ a minimum of Basic Pistol Certification and one of the following:
      • Personal Protection Inside the Home 
      • Personal Protection Outside the Home 
      • NRA Training Counselor 
      • Refuse to be a Victim Trainer; or have completed one of our Law Enforcement or Private Security TASER courses.
